Scott Usry is our guest. He is a career law enforcement officer. He also trains police in self defense, hands on and firearms use of force. Scott talks about the severe lack of training that most law enforcement officers receive especially in the use of physical force. He states that this lack of funding in self defense and hands on use of force puts the lives of both officers and suspects at risk. Scott discusses the pressing need that we have to increase the funding for more training of our police.

John J. Wiley is a retired Police Sergeant turned radio personality. He has been a full time FM Music Radio DJ since 2005. In 2017 he founded the Law Enforcement Today Podcast, with the assistance of Robert Greenberg. Within a couple months a radio station heard an episode of the podcast and asked him to create a radio version, which he did. It has been syndicated since the Spring of 2017 and has numerous affiliate radio stations across the US.
