A serial killer plagued this city for several years, shooting 30 people at random and killing at least 4 of them. The serial killer was nicknamed "the midnight slayer" by local news agencies. Because the majority of random shootings took place after midnight. Retired Police Lieutenant Dan Baker gives an insider's look into the investigation and arrest of the killer. He also talks about the racial unrest, riots, and extremely violent time for American Cities, especially those like his. Dan also talks about how he documented the important details in his book "Blood in the Streets - Racism, Riots and Murders in the Heartland of America".

John J. Wiley is a retired Police Sergeant turned radio personality. He has been a full time FM Music Radio DJ since 2005. In 2017 he founded the Law Enforcement Today Podcast, in a partnership with Robert Greenberg of Law Enforcement Today. The show is now named the Law Enforcement Talk Radio Show and Podcast.
Within a couple months a radio station heard an episode of the podcast and asked him to create a radio version, which he did. It has been syndicated since the Spring of 2017 and has numerous affiliate radio stations across the US.
