My Hardest Day as a Police Officer. Life After A Career Ending Injury. Leah Anaya is our guest. She is a retired police officer, her career was ended by a permanent injury. Leah talks about her law enforcement career and her time with the Oakland California Police Department and the day that four other officers were murdered. She discusses the impact that their murders had on her and the police department at the time. Her law enforcement career moved north when she was hired by a Department in Washington State. Leah talks about the difficult transition she experienced when her career was cut short by injuries. Leah uses her experience to help other injured officers, she wrote a book for children and much more.

John J. Wiley is a retired Police Sergeant turned radio personality. He has been a full time FM Music Radio DJ since 2005. In 2017 he founded the Law Enforcement Today Podcast, in a partnership with Robert Greenberg of Law Enforcement Today. The show is now named the Law Enforcement Talk Radio Show and Podcast.
Within a couple months a radio station heard an episode of the podcast and asked him to create a radio version, which he did. It has been syndicated since the Spring of 2017 and has numerous affiliate radio stations across the US.
