My name is Tracie Arlington, and I’d love to be considered as a guest for your podcast focused on true crime and trauma stories.
As a nationally certified self-defense instructor, founder of Play It Safe Defense, black-belt and board member for San Diego Crime Stoppers, I’ve spent over two decades on the front lines of violence prevention and survivor support. My son is also a San Diego County Sheriff. But more than my professional background, I also bring deeply personal stories—both my own and those of the countless women, children, and families I've stood beside during moments of trauma, healing, and justice. Much of their healing has come from learning self-defense and empowerment training.
I can share powerful accounts of working with survivors of abduction attempts, domestic violence, campus assaults, and stalking—along with the emotional weight and resilience involved. Some of my best stories are of HOW the survivor escaped, self-defense SUCCESS stories. I’m sure many of your listeners are looking for self-defense advice and prevention information.
